Night Life in Riga: Night and Music Clubs, Bars
 Riga is “a city which never sleeps”. Riga’s night-life begins at around 9 pm, when it is beginning to get dark outside. Usually, the night-life lovers attend their favourite cocktail bars. After a couple of heating cocktails, at around 11 or 12 pm, night clubs begin to open their doors to their visitors, and everybody rush in there. Till midnight all girls are allowed to get through clubs free of charge, or at a considerable discount.

The Night club is located in the centre of Riga and it is a comprising part of the entertainment complex “Royal Casino Hotel & SPA Resort”. The premise of the club, which admits 600 people, is seen as a combination of the classic disco club and a restaurant, the latter offering a kalian bar and sushi menu.

The night club with such a contradictory name opened its doors in the year of 2008. The club differs from all other similar establishments found in Riga with that that it very often provides with shows and concerts of famous musicians, many contemporary shows, as well as sport shows.
The club was opened in December 2008. Both stylish and glamorous interior, contemporary equipment, theme-based parties and shows, performances of both currently central and interesting club artists – from the flamboyant Stephanie Coker to Steve Edwards, the famous vocalist, as well as co-author of such world’s famous dance hits as “World Hold On” and “Watch the Sunrise”.

On Wednesdays there is jazz playing (in more contemporary arrangements), on Thursdays – alternative music, on Fridays – house parties, on Saturdays - drum’n’bass and industrial. There are three spacious halls and a café in the club.

This is a theatrical restaurant-club, translated into English as “Eastern border”.The striped signpost in the Old Town of Riga will show you that there are 950 km to Moscow, but to the eastern border there are only 100 meters.
The name is translated as “Four White Shirts”. The motto of the club is as follows: “Cheerful entertainment for adults”. There is only Latvian music performed at the club. Very often such Latvian musicians and rock bands as Ainars Mielavs, “Perkons” or “Autobuss debesis” perform live here.
This is a very popular music club-restaurant in the very centre of Riga. During the day, you can have delicious breakfast – have a cup of coffee with oven-fresh rolls, have substantial lunch meanwhile listening to the pianoforte playing, or have a business meeting.
This is a theatre, music club and café called “Pocket”. This is a gathering place for Latvian alternative young generation, where Latvian rock bands usually perform, or there are sometimes debut stage productions, as well as stage productions of those artists who have already shown themselves.

In the course of many years this night club has been consistently popular for providing with pleasant pastime, where professional bartenders with a wide range of drinks are always at your service. In the summer, you are welcome to visit the club’s terrace on the roof from which you can eye the Livu square.
